The season of the pop- up shop!
Many brands are taking advantage of unusually low rents and availability this holiday season. Opening pop-up shops are nothing new. But the numbers of brands willing to take the plunge in this uncertain economy is definitely overwhelming.
Currently getting the most headlines are the Toys R Us Holiday Express Shops that will open up in over 80 locations for the holiday season. While adding an additional 270 temporary shop-in-shops in their Babies R Us locations.
Giving this retail an interesting way to expand in the recession and take advantage of holiday shoppers.
Other notable pop-ups opening in NYC this month include NW favorite NAU, GAP, The Japan Brand, Phaidon, and Lionel Electric Trains.
